This state-of-the-art, CE-certified HF heater is specifically designed for the rapid and uniform preheating of thermoset molding compounds (preforms) before they are fed into an injection molding machine or die.

Thermosets are poor thermal conductors. Conventional heating methods often result in uneven heating (burnt on the outside, cold on the inside). The Boyke BT T 500-2 high-frequency preheater utilizes dielectric heating: The material is heated from the inside out by molecular friction. Heating is controlled either by time or temperature. The preform is gently rotated on roller electrodes within the high-frequency field.

Applications: Ideal for heating phenolic resins, melamine, urea-formaldehyde resins (UF), and especially epoxy resins.
