Plastic-based bipolar plates offer excellent corrosion resistance and durability against aggressive chemicals, significantly extending the service life of electrolyzers and fuel cells. Thermoset variants also provide outstanding thermal stability, making them ideal for high-temperature applications.

With our expertise in processing advanced materials, we supply systems for the production of bipolar plates in formats up to 850 x 650 mm – using both powder and transfer molding technologies.

Electronics in vehicles are often exposed to extreme conditions. Transmission control units, for instance, must withstand vibrations, heat, and prolonged exposure to dirt and transmission fluid over many years. But it’s not just in the automotive sector – electronic components in aviation and many other industries also need effective protection from environmental influences. Thanks to the high thermal resistance of thermoset materials, applications in power modules for e-mobility are also possible.

A highly effective solution for these demands is the overmolding of printed circuit boards with thermoset materials using the transfer molding process. This approach not only significantly improves resistance to environmental stressors but also offers considerable cost advantages compared to conventional housing solutions.
